Actually, Wildmutt is from the planet Vulpin.
The information from the Bandai Alien Collection toy for Cannonbolt is somewhat contradictory to that given in the show. The profile that comes with the toy refers to his species as a Vulpinic Tortugan from the planet Vulpin, which Wildmutt also originates from. The profile also suggests that Cannonbolt is capable of releasing a powerful chemical blast, though it does not explain where that chemical is released from. (See Wikipedia)
The series says that Cannonbolt is an Arburian Pelatora. This species is mostly extinct. The Great One destroyed their planet. Is it possible that Cannonbolt now lives on the planet Vulpin? I think it is possible.
